I heard an old professor of mine once say, " When you think that you are ripe, you begin to rot!" Through the coaching mistakes program, I have learned how to laugh at myself and enjoy the process as I continually grow as a coach. This resource fits with my philosophy, "I might as well learn from the mistakes of others, because I won't live long enough to make them all myself."  As a relatively new coach (less than a year), I find myself, before the first session with a new client, review the the mistakes collection. It is a great way to focus on what I 'can' do versus what I 'might' do. "Coaching Mistakes" allowed me to assess my concerns about falling into such traps as; " Trying Too Hard" or "Needing the Coaching Fee." Once I acknowledge the trap, I can consciously avoid it.
