1. We have processed the 1,000 ideas received for Coaching Scoop 'special

reports' into 82 do-able subjects. Thank you! Question: Should I make

this list of 82 ideas public at CoachVille.com? Let me know.

2. We have not yet begun to organized/categories the calamity situations.

Will start next week on that.

3. We have not selected a name for the calamity eprogram but there are tons

of terrific ideas...thanks!

1. I received several emails from R&D Team members that said that

RealPlayer 8.0 costs $29. The special version does, but the basic version

is still free. You'll need RealPlayer 7 or 8 to properly listen to the

upcoming RealAudio clips that will be part of several R&D Team Projects. If

ASSIGNMENT #3 - BEST OF COACHING AWARDS and COACHSHOWCASE.COM

I'm trying to get a handle on setting up industry-wide recognition and I

don't see the best way -- yet! And I really need your thinking, ideas, and

strategies.

I am setting up a website called bestofcoaching.com (not viewable yet). The

website will feature all of the 'best' in the coaching industry. I want to

showcase the "best" coaches, the best sites, the best companies, the best

vendors, the best whatever so that we can accelerate the rate of

development, professionalism and evolution of our industry.

I believe that this will lead to the Best of Coaching Awards, a la the

Oscars/Grammy's. But it's a little tricky because who is to say what the

best is. I don't want this turning into a beauty contest or a popularity

contest. Rather, I simply want all coaches to easily and quickly see the

best of what's out there so that they can emulate, innovate and evolve from

a higher platform/place. Currently, there isn't any resource like this for

coaches to use.

TWO QUESTIONS THEN.....

QUESTION 1.

What are the "coach showcase" or "best of coaching" categories that you feel

would be really interesting to YOU?

Best Coaches website

Best TeleClass provider

Rookie of the Year

Best Discussion Boards <g>

(I need help with these categories!)

--note: another approach is the use the coachshowcase.com site I've got and

simply showcase interesting coaches, sites, etc. and not get into the 'best

of' approach. Thoughts? (Even if you opt for coachshowcase.com, we

still need your category ideas, like:

--Coaches over 60

--Generation X coaches

--Money making coaching websites

--Corporate coaches

--Group coaches

etc.

Is there a way to link the Best Of and the Coach Showcase? Perhaps do the

Coach Showcase and then select the Best Of from folks who've been

profiled/showcased? Help!

FYI, we are NOT going to offers awards for the BEST COACH or BEST COACHING

SCHOOL. There is simply no way to measure this. But I do feel that there

are some very cool things that coaches are doing, and some very cool

coaches, that nobody (including me!) knows about or enough about. The rate

of innovation is increasing in our industry and I believe we can

accelerate/amplify this using the Best Of and/or Coach Showcase platforms.
