CoachVille International Licenses

If you are interested in becoming a CoachVille licensee in your country, which includes the right to translate/adapt/use the growing collection of intellectual property, forms, tools, assessments and the like, and train coaches live/locally, then the following memo will interest you.


Basic Approach/Thinking
Rather than a traditional licensing structure where we license our materials to one person/group per country and charge them 10 or 15% of their revenue each year as a licensing fee, we have opted for a far simpler approach, as you will see in the 2 options below.  The bottom line is that we want to support the coach training efforts in every country and are going out of our way to make our materials accessible and the license fees extremely low and affordable.  

Internally, we at CoachVille are targeting the English speaking countries (and those who speak English well).  And, we know we cannot do a great job at translating our materials in other languages, given we're focused so much on creating new content. We would prefer to make it easy for you to purchase a translation and teaching license for your country in your local language.  CoachVille will soon have the most content of any coach training school and as a licensee, you get access to the current stuff we have and most of the new stuff we will be creating over the coming years.


Below are the descriptions of the 2 license rights options. And, below that is a chart that makes it easy to compare the 2 options.


The 2 Options
There are 2 ways to purchase a license to acquire, translate and teach/distribute the CoachVille Coach Training and Client Programs/Solutions materials.

1. Become the official CoachVille Campus in your country.
Annual flat fee is US$1995; no percentage royalty.  You must be a member of CoachVille and of the Schools of CoachVille.

You, as an individual, have full translation and teaching rights in your country and in your local language.  And, your students have the right to add themselves to the CoachVilleReferral.com site if they wish, at no additional charge to you or them.  Also, you will be able to say that you are the exclusive CoachVille Campus, which should add to your credibility.  And you may charge whatever you wish to your students for access to the translated materials, workshops and TeleClasses you create, based on our work.  You keep 100% of this revenue; all we receive is a US$1995 annual payment from you in order for you to be the official campus in your country.   

You will also be automatically be made a member in the CoachVille International Group, which hosts periodic calls and broadcasts updates of the activities, success and strategies of the other CoachVille Campus owners worldwide.   You may, in effect, duplicate the CoachVille site/contents, in your local language, but most CoachVille Campus owners will start by offering live coach training in their countries, given that won't require a lot of translation at first.  Also, we will link directly to your website from the CoachVille.com home page.

Important note:  There will only be one CoachVille Campus per country.  And, you will not be granted exclusive translation/teaching rights in your country, given any CoachVille/SOC members may acquire translation rights for our programs.  But you will be the exclusive CoachVille Campus in your country which can contribute greatly to your credibility as you set up shop.

Should you decide to not renew your status as the official campus, you will need to remove all references to the fact that you are a CoachVille campus, remove the translated materials from your site and no more coaches will be able to add themselves to the CoachVille Referral site, although the ones already listed may continue to be listed at no cost.  And we will have the right to offer the official CoachVille Campus status to someone else in your country.

Also, please note that we are awarding you a license, as an individual or, if a company, to a single designated user, per license.  If/when you hire trainers, you may purchase a lifetime "user license" for an additional one time/lifetime of US$495 for each trainer who works for you.  These individuals do not have to join CoachVille or the SOC, given you already have.

Note: Your coaches are not members of CoachVille.com unless they wish to  join us individually for free (which of course, we encourage!).  So, an English speaking coach in your country would do well to join CoachVille themselves, in addition to working directly with you, given the quantity of materials/RealAudio we have on our site which may take you a while to translate and post on your site.  Win, win.)

 
2. Purchase translation, teaching and broadcast rights for individual modules/programs.
One time/lifetime fee ranges from US$29 to US$295 depending on the program; no percentage royalty.  

If you would prefer to just translate and teach one or several of our programs like Personal Evolution, Attraction, Business Concepts for Coaches, Passive Revenue or Defining Success, you may do so on a per program basis.  

Related notes

1.  We are still creating the bulk of our content...
But if you are a CoachVille or SOC member, then you know how much cool stuff we already have created.  As we create new stuff, you are notified and may start translating/teaching immediately or alter; it's up to you.

2.  Remember, there are or will be Study Groups operating in your country.
Any CoachVille member may host a CoachVille Study Group anywhere in the world.  And, note that only 5% of our materials will be made available to Study Group Hosts, and those study Group Hosts only have the right to teach/share this content in their local study group and they cannot charge for these groups.  As a CoachVille Campus or Licensee, you have access to the full collection of material/content.  Big difference.

5.  Campus and License includes limited support.
We'll be developing an extensive Q&A areas for you to use for both technical suggestions (web sites, PDF, RealAudio, etc.) , and we'll be happy to answer questions via email. But, given the low price point of the licenses, we aren't able to provide extensive handholding or phone calls.  Sorry...

6.  The CoachVille Campus licensee may include use of the CoachVille.xx domain for your country.
We have CoachVille.de, CoachVille.se, etc and about 45 others.  We couldn't not acquire the others given the local domain registry requires a local owner and/or the fee was just too high for us.

7. The CoachVille Campus license does not include software or systems.
The license does not include software or systems, but does include use of a common design template for your website, but which is not required.  You will be able to contact our web programmers and contract with them privately to customize/adapt most of our membership databases and web systems, at your own expense.

8.  We won't be doing any translations ourselves.
That's up to you to do yourself or arrange for.  Remember, however, that only you, as an individual, are licensed to teach using the materials.

9.  You may modify our materials but CoachVille attribution must be on every single page.
This is the one requirement we make of all licensees.  It is our stuff; not your stuff.  You are being licensed to translate and adapt our stuff to fit for your market, but it's still our stuff.  If you take our name off of our stuff and put your name on our stuff, then, you'll be having a significant/expensive legal problem.  We have to, and will, protect authorship ownership  (Just want to make this very clear.)

10. You are paid US$50 if folks you refer to the Schools of CoachVille join directly.
In other words, you are an affiliate of CoachVille and receive $50 per membership for anyone who is following your link or using your affiliate code when registering for the Schools of CoachVille.

11. Folks in your country can join your local version of CoachVille and are not required to join CoachVille directly.
As a CoachVille Campus owner, you may offer a local version of CoachVille membership and collect all monies from this.  Folks who join your local version only get access to whatever you've posted at your website, however.  They do not get access to the CoachVille content site, although they can list at CoachVilleReferral.com for free if they wish.  However, we encourage you to encourage your English speaking coaches to join CoachVille directly as well.

12. All licensees must members of CoachVille and the SOC.
All Option A and Option B licensees must be a member of CoachVille (free) themselves and also have entered The Schools of CoachVille ($3295).  This is in addition to any license fees.   

13. Situations which would cause termination of your license.
a. If you harm the CoachVille brand through non-delivery, illegal activity or non ethical behavior.
b. If a CoachVille Campus owner, you do not renew your annual license within 30 days of the due date.
c. You adapt materials and do not include the copyright/CoachVille.com attribution line on each page.

14. Other notes
a. You may transfer your CoachVille Campus license only with express approval from CoachVille.
b. You may only post materials to your site which have been translated into your local language.  You cannot post the English language materials or resources that we have at CoachVille.com to your site.  (Your folks would need to join CoachVille directly in order to access these resources.)

15. What you are getting as a CoachVille Campus Owner?
a. The right to use the CoachVille name and to say you are the local CoachVille Campus.
b. The right to use, adapt, customize and translate all of the CoachVille content.
c. The right to teach live trainings, workshops, TeleClasses and electronic delivery such as web based training, ecourses, and the like in your local language (not English).
d. The right to set up a CoachVille type fee membership using translated CoachVille content.
e. We provide a prominent link to your site for folks who visit CoachVille.
f. Monthly conference calls with CoachVille staff and other licensees for strategizing, support, and answers.
g. Email support to answer your questions.
h. First access to the full set of MicroModules and new stuff, as it is created.

16. What we're not providing/including.
a. Your local members or students don't get access to the CoachVille site/contents unless they join CoachVille themselves.
b. We can't provide handholding to our licensees.  We're very supportive via email with answers and solving problems, but we aren't able to coach you 1 to 1 to ensure your success.  That part is up to you. 
c. We are not providing recording or hosting of RealAudio or PDF or text files but we can show you where/how to accomplish that.
d. We are not available to come to your country to teach, but have designated several coach trainers who you can contract with on your own if you wish (at $1000 to $3000 per day).
