The CoachVille Social Media and Networking Team
Hey Coach! Coach Dave Buck here.
Would you like to be a player on a high-profile, cutting edge and fun team? Are you a coach who is currently active in social media, networks, journalism or research? Are you interested in earning a scholarship to our Center for Coaching Mastery or other programs?
Then you may be interested in joining our new Social Media and Networking Team.
On this page you will find: 1) The Idea 2) The Model 3) The Possibilities 4) The Offer 5) How To Apply
1) The idea - create a CoachVille social media team The idea is to create CoachVille a social media and networking team. The players this team will have a key position in creating global awareness about Professional Coaching and CoachVille as well as bring news and insight from the world to CoachVille members.
I have to admit, I have been VERY slow to get on the Social Media bandwagon. I barely started to blog four weeks ago! LOL. I have visited Facebook and MySpace once or twice.
This is clearly an exciting and important game and I need to get off the bench! Creating a team is the best way for me to start playing.
The vision is to create a team of 20 or so coaches who will each play an important position on the team. The position could be: the CV representative on Facebook, or the Coaching Schools correspondent on CoachBlog, or the Coaching in Education correspondent on Coachblog, or the CoachVille Strategic Alliance coordinator, or write product or book reviews for Coachblog on items that coaches should know about.
There are lots of possibilities to play!
And we are offering scholarships to our Center for Coaching Mastery Coach Training program and / or our Professional Coach Training programs in exchange for your efforts.
So, 1) You get to become highly visible doing something that you love 2) You get the benefit of being a part of a great team that is learning and growing together, AND 3) You get a GREAT education
Sounds interesting? Keep reading...
2) The Model - student athletes in a university community The model for this is the university student athlete. As a Soccer Coach at Seton Hall U. in NJ I am very familiar with this!
Our student athletes and highly visible community leaders. For sure they put in a lot of effort and the rewards are great as well. Most of them receive full or partial scholarships to the University. AND they get to do something that they love - play soccer in this case - on a great team.
They bring joy and excitement to their fellow students and local community by playing in the games; a vital part of the university experience.
It is a win-win-win for the university, the community and the student/player.
I think that playing on this team will be very much like that for CV, the CV Members and YOU as a player on the team.
3) The Possibilities - Shape the Coaching Industry; Find or create your position
I believe that the players on this team will help shape the coaching industry and the CV community. As you research, explore, listen, learn, write and connect your voice will be part of the fabric of the CV community and the Coaching Industry; Your ideas and self-expression will add value in a public way.
As I said before, I am just learning about the new Social Media game. Here are just a few ideas I have for positions on the team. YOU may be inspired by one of these OR it may spark your imagination to create a new position.
