While there are MANY unique qualities to our program, here are 9 we would like you to highlight!

1) Coaching success starts with certainty

The program is specifically designed to give you the ONE THING that every coach needs: certainty.  Certainty in three areas: 1) in a coaching process that works; 2) In the natural greatness within every person you coach; and 3) In your knowledge and skill.  A coachee will not work with a coach who is lacking certainty.  Would you?

Certainty is a wonderful combination of confidence and humility.  (Distinct from arrogance)  When you are certain you know that you have the ability to add value to the situation at hand AND you also know that you do not know everything; that you are learning too.  When this combination is present the coachee feels safe to open up and learn but also feels like a collaborator that is respected and admired.

2) Proficiency based coaching

Proficiency is an advanced competency.  In this program you will learn how to coach through a specific coaching pattern language called the 15 Coaching Proficiencies.  They were developed by the late Thomas Leonard in collaboration with Dave Buck and 1,000 practicing coaches from around the world (The CoachVille R&D team) 

The Coaching Proficiencies are the advanced techniques of the coaching craft.  They are a pattern language for effective coaching.  In other words, when the proficiencies are used, effective coaching is happening.

The path to effective coaching and then masterful coaching is to first learn how to recognize the proficiencies when you hear them. Then through practice you learn to produce them consistently in coaching conversations.

3) Mastery of pattern language

Mastery of any craft can be summed up by one idea: pattern recognition and pattern reproduction.  Every craft has patterns: carpentry, accounting, medicine, aikido or acting for example.  To master a craft you must first become aware of the patterns and then you build toward mastery at reproducing them through practice.  In coaching the juice of the work occurs in language: spoken language and the unseen language of energy.  Every element of our coaching process is guided by this truth.  You will learn and master a variety of pattern languages which will not only make you a great coach, but it will add richness to your experience of life at the same time.

4) Leverage what you know by providing personalized learning

Most coach training programs today are based on a notion that is fundamentally flawed. That is: the client has all the answers and the coach only guides the coachee to what they already know.  You know that this is not true and so do we.

Withholding what you know is not coaching, but neither is always telling the coachee what to do.  Guiding the coachee to your answer through leading questions is manipulative - AND a colossal waste of time.  So what does work?  Personalized learning is and has always been the core of the craft of coaching.  Throughout the program you will learn how to share your wisdom and knowledge AND draw out the wisdom of the coachee in a way that gets results.

5) Coaching skills theory and demonstration

The craft of coaching requires a variety of skills: active listening, powerful questioning, direct communication and designing action plans to name just a few.  For the most part, favorable results in life are hard to come by. it takes skill to help others get the results they desire.  Our coaching skills program is based on the guidelines set forth by the International Coach Federation (ICF).
