Dave will present the new internal game Coaching Method
The BIG Game creates chaos! (and that is a good thing)

Hey there! Coach Dave Buck here.

I’m really looking forward to our annual conference - The Power of Winning - coming up in just two months. Today I am sharing with you a few ideas from our powerful new program: internal game Coaching. 

internal game Coaching is where you explore patterns of thought, feeling, emotion and behavior and shift ANY pattern that is not serving your players new / BIG game. This may sound like a strange way of describing it so let me explain.

The reason the internal game is so important is because thoughts, feelings, emotions, values, motivations etc. effect every decision and choice you make on a moment to moment basis. This means what you do and don’t do - which of course plays a huge role in the results you get - is at play in the internal game.

This diagram will give you a picture of how internal game Coaching works.

The key insight here is that ANYTIME you create a new game for your client to play, you can expect to create some degree of chaos. And this chaos often shows up in the form of: frustration, isolation, overwhelm, confusion or even apathy. Mostly people describe the experience using the phrase: being stuck.

For most people it is a welcome insight when they find out that being stuck is a GOOD sign! It means they are in a game that truly matters to them AND that it is part of the process of playing better.

Most things in life occur in recurring patterns. And most of our patterns are set to sustain the way things are. So when you set out to play a new game, a bigger game or play a game better, it makes sense that some of the patterns that served you in the past won’t serve you in the new game.  NEW patterns will have to be established. This is the experience of creating chaos and then working through it to create ease.

I even say that if your client / player ISN’T experiencing this chaos to ease cycle to some degree then the game probably isn’t BIG enough! The problem is that most people haven’t had a great coach before. So, when they experience the chaos and stuckness they think it is a problem or a reason to quit. But when you have a great coach, then you learn that these experiences are a part of playing a bigger game AND with your coach you will transform them into expanded capability and playing the games of your life better than ever.

With a great coach, you learn that moving through the chaos brings a deeper sense of harmony and ease with your new game. As this happens you get better results and have more fun while playing. Then, of course, your coach will challenge you to play the game even BIGGER and the cycle starts all over again. Thanks Coach.

So as a coach, you need a method to quickly find and shift the source of the chaos, or conflict, in your players experience. We call this the internal game Coaching Method and you will learn it, experience it AND practice it at the Power of Winning Conference this year. Your clients are going to love this.

The internal game Coaching method is also called: Put your player in the game. It is a guided experience where you walk with your player through the various experiences of the game while looking for patterns of thought, feeling and emotion that impact their choices and actions. It is an extremely effective technique.

One little side note about this: As a coach, I know you already have loads of experience in recognizing patterns AND tools that work with the internal game. What this program will provide is a method to put those tools into practice in a concise and consistent way.
