   Thomas Leonard
and Dave Buck Co-presenters, Las Vegas, 2002
Thursday
Dear Registrant in a forthcoming
CoachVille event,
I've been remembering some of the
conversations I had with Thomas the last few weeks. One of the
things he marveled about was the delicious paradox of an internet-based
company like CoachVille becoming so active in producing live events.
He always did love a paradox and had intended to go on another grand tour
this fall, and meet many more of you.
Remembering this, we will be
proceeding as scheduled with our live event plans this year. In
fact, as part of our commitment to Thomas' vision for CoachVille, which was always bigger than himself, we look
forward to sharing with you the additional material from many projects
Thomas left in our hands, in new programs and events this fall.
Of course, the events that were to
be led by Thomas now will not. Instead, the material that will
impact your practices, whether it be the 15 Proficiencies or other, will
be delivered from the heart
by presenters Dave Buck, Richard Reardon, Susan Austin and
others.
Time for us to be together to
celebrate Thomas' life and affirm his vision for Coaching will be woven
into the agenda for each event. We will keep you posted by email so you
can be sure to adjust your schedules.
I hope this alleviates any questions
or concerns you may have about your registrations in these events, and I
look forward to meeting many of you. Should you have any further
questions, simply email tina@coachville.com
My best to you,
Andrea Lee GM, CoachVille/School

Easily
accessible and clear! Thanks for making the proficiencies,
clarifiers, deliverables, style points and frameworks so easily
accessible and clear! This information has radically changed how I
work with clients. The Intensive weekend was the perfect format to
learn, collaborate and integrate these aspects of coaching into my
life.
In addition to the information and experiential
learning process, I am especially grateful for the opportunity to
connect with so many other coaches and learn from them - that was
worth the price of tuition alone! Coop

My first live CoachVille
event... "This was my first "live" Coachville event
and it was a wonderful experience. I was apprehensive about taking
this course since I am a graduate of another major coaching program,
but found the Coachville intensive to be complementary to my earlier
education and helped me refine my "thinking and clarify approaches
in methodology of coaching". As with any event of this type I am
strong advocate of the networking and meeting fellow coaches as you
can learn a great deal from working with your peers and this course
did not disappoint. I met many magnificent and gifted coaches and
felt very much part of the CoachVille family. We are indeed a group
of dedicated, talented, hardworking coaches all striving to serve
our clients and in so doing...serving the future of the
profession.
"I strongly recommend this course for
those seeking credentialing as it is well worth the price of
admission and as someone who is leading a study group in my area I
will be encouraging all CoachVille members in my area to make the
effort to attend for interaction with your peers is a beautiful
thing." Bob Stack bobstack@att.net Palm

Much
more confidence.... "I am so thankful to have had the
opportunity to attend the Coachville conference in Phoenix! Just
three months ago, I began my journey in formal coach training but
have suffered somewhat from lack of direction and overwhelm. Thomas'
frameworks, the five
15's, have given me so much confidence to move forward in my
business. It's incredible. Thank you, CoachVille!" TheWORDCoaching@aol.com |
Added depth was an exciting
challenge... "It was an exciting challenge to look at
my coaching through the Coachville System. Each piece; the
Clarifiers, Proficiencies, Deliverables, Style Points and Frameworks
add a depth and structure to the work we do. My analogy is taking a
walk through the woods while having the leisure to look at every
small and interesting thing along the path. On occasion I could stop
and smell the flowers (participate in the triads and demos). And the
opportunity to meet people from diverse backgrounds and with rich
and interesting lives allowed me to develop referrals, gain
interesting ideas and meet new friends.
"I want to
acknowledge Thomas as one of this century’s greatest synthesizers of
information. I see him as a visionary with an incredible capacity to
make fine distinctions. His work allows us to work ever more
effectively with our clients while developing ourselves as people. I
look forward to joining Thomas and Dave in other cities." Alicia

Integrating all that you already
know... "Thomas Wolfe was wrong! You
can go home again. I have found mine at CoachVille and in the
concepts and ideas taught during this last week-end in Phoenix.
Everything I've learned through 30 years of training, consulting,
developing businesses, inspiring and guiding people to reach new
heights- all of me has found a final home! During my entire life, I
have had to segment my skills, knowledge and training into separate
categories and limit their use. I knew coaching was a way to
integrate them all but it took this week-end for me to feel totally
at home with the concept and the framework. I now see the big
picture! I know how to implement concepts and strategies. I know how
to bring value to clients. And wow - is that awesome! I can't wait
for the next session." Saralyn Collins The Training

It works in the real world... "The
Coaching Intensive experience and materials are by far the most
stimulating, valuable, and applicable learning in my coaching
development thus far. Just back from Phoenix, in my first client
call this morning, my mind surfaced the Clarifier, "Accurate vs.
Interpretation" in response to her comment about ' I just know that
he wouldn't call me back." By asking whether she truly knew of
perceived/interpreted that he wouldn't call her back, she leapt to
the realization that she's been limiting her own marketing efforts
based on inaccurate self-limiting beliefs/interpretations. I was
excited about this because I wasn't looking at the list; I was just
doing what you suggested, having a stimulating conversation with the
client, and the stuff from the Intensive came flashing through my
mind. Bravo, Thomas! Great stuff that I'm excited about using more,
and regularly. THANK YOU."

Significantly reduce the learning
curve... "I believe the 2 day intensive is a must for
any serious-minded coach (or want-a-be) who wants to significantly
reduce the learning curve to becoming a masterful coach...certified
or not. The "live" presentation of the material, the examples, role
plays, and triad discussions add a dimension that is not available
in any other format. For those seeking to become mentor coaches the
two-day experience provides insights that will increase their
ability to guide their mentee client toward certification and higher
levels of proficiency." Enthusiastically, Bob Moore, CMC,

Intensive, and delightful... "What a fun
experience the Phoenix Certified Coach Intensive was! Yes it was an
intensive - yet delightful to have 'The 15s" presented with
lightness and humor. If you want a jumpstart on coaching, this is
your ticket. I can hardly wait for Toronto!" Judy
Irving, CMC, PCC judy@MovingOn.net |
The
magic of being in person... I loved being
able to do the Coachville Certification Intensive training in person
in Phoenix and have more "face time" with Thomas, Dave and such
wonderful fellow coaches. Not only was this an exciting and fun
environment to be in for several days, but Thomas and Dave made
absorbing and applying this transformational material both fun and
easy. I find it easier to absorb these tools in person than via web
&/or teleclass, and enjoy having all 3 options to go through and
practice them. In Phoenix, the demonstrations and discussions of
Stylepoints, Proficiencies, Frameworks, et al, brought them
instantly to life and made them far easier for me to apply in real
coaching situations, starting with the brief but effective practice
triads. I'm excited about attending more of the Intensive weekends
to hone my new "tools" and also to connect with more coaches from
around the world as the Coachville community is far more than just a
website for me! Barbara Schiffman EvoLuminus Coaching Evoluminus@aol.com Burbank CA |
The live training validates the
website content... This was my first exposure to
CoachVille beyond the website. I have to admit, attending was a way
for me to "check-out" CoachVille and to see what other kinds of
people are involved in coaching. Thomas (and Dave) did an excellent
job of presenting the material and for me, adding validity to what
is on the CoachVille website. I thoroughly enjoyed the program and a
highlight of the Intensive was meeting the other
participants.
I currently work in a corporate position where
one of my hats is coaching our managers. My biggest challenge after
this weekend is assimilating what I learned and transferring the
5-15's into workable terminology for our culture and
workplace.
After 20 years of personal development work,
spiritual growth, graduate school (Pepperdine MSOD), owning 2
completely different businesses, and being a trainer and consultant,
it was fun to learn some different ways of looking at things, new
terminology, and to see and hear what other coaches are
doing. Bob McAllaster bobm@servco.com |
The
most productive learning experience I've ever
had. Without question, the Phoenix intensive was, and
still is, the most exciting, fun, valuable and productive learning
experience I've ever had. It is, in all reality, a gift I gave
myself that keeps on giving. Course content and delivery were
superb. The instructors, Thomas Leonard and Dave Buck, taught in the
best manner possible- by example. They repeatedly demonstrated the
15's in action and produced excellent results using them. Lecture
was kept at an essential minimum allowing plenty of time for us to
have immediate practice. For me, this resulted in much greater
retention of the material presented and a deeper understanding of
how to effectively apply the information in my coaching practice. I
am a better coach and a better person for having attended the
intensive. The skill sets we learned are applicable to all life
arenas, not just coaching. Our clients will obviously benefit, but
so will our families, friends, acquaintances, and the people with
whom we come into contact in daily life. These are life skills, not
just coaching skills.
This wasn't only a class, it was a
deliberately created environment that pulled us forward rather than
us struggling to grasp the material. So, we also got a demonstration
of how effective creating environments is. The environment produced
unexpected results such as getting other coaches as clients right
there at the intensive. Networking opportunities abounded and new
friends were made. Another unexpected result was on my first
coaching call after I got back. In no way did I intend to practice
on my client until I had absorbed the material more fully. What
happened was that I found myself naturally applying the material
without effort- my client noticed the difference and was delighted
more than ever with our coaching relationship. A new client signed
on the day after I got back and her goal is to become an advanced
communicator and learn advanced relating skills- precisely what I
had just been immersed in. Now that's in line with Thomas' 28
Principles of Attraction.
Bottom line is that this stuff
works and works very well. Coachville says it adds value for the joy
of it and that's true too. I am taking advantage of the opportunity
to attend another intensive in Chicago, free of charge, to further
sharpen my skills and that's a real value. I hope to see you
there!
